Programme for current session 2009/2010

Members pay an annual subscription of £11 (£18 per couple) at the AGM in September. This entitles them to free entry to all monthly meetings, and two issues of The Recorder, the biannual magazine containing articles both new and old on local history. [Click here for index of Recorders]. The Recorder can be posted if required at a charge of £2 each (inc p&p).

Non-members are welcome to meetings at £1.50 a person each meeting.

An annual programme is issued at the September meeting. See below for current programme.

Most meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 7.00pm in the Council Chamber, Quay House, Kingsbridge. Reports of meetings are submitted each month to the Gazette for publication.

There is no meeting in August.

The November meeting is an annual luncheon at a local venue, followed by a talk.

There are also occasional outings to places or buildings of interest.

Corporate membership is available for neighbouring history societies at a charge of £9 pa per society. Visiting members of such societies pay a reduced rate of 50p for each meeting attended. The secretary or treasurer of such societies receive two Recorders, and an invoice for the annual subscription.

You are welcome to email our secretary here if you have any queries or comments

The Society possesses a modest-sized library, and a list of books available may be obtained from the Librarian.
